Newsclip Private Label Edition: Virtual Reach Launches a Custom Branded Version of Newsclip
Toronto, ON – 31 August 2005 – Virtual Reach Inc. ("Virtual Reach") announced today the release of its latest wireless application, Newsclip Private Label Edition for BlackBerry. The new application will be targeted at media publishers and specialized content providers. The private label RSS service will have all the functionality of Newsclip 1.0, giving to publishers and other content providers an opportunity to brand it as their own and the ability to extend their reach in their respective markets.
Brian Goldberg, President of Virtual Reach, said, "We’re very excited with this new offering. Our Private Label Edition is an ideal application for publishers looking to showcase their brand and add value to their online content services." He added, "Customers will be given a leading edge wireless application powered by Virtual Reach that will provide their subscription base with mobile access to their content and services."
With Newsclip Private Label Edition customers will be able to leverage the power of the Virtual Reach RSS platform. Content and media of all kinds, whether news headlines or stock quotes, can easily be converted into RSS format and sent directly to BlackBerry handsets. Publishers will no longer have to rely on their customers logging on to desktop applications. In addition to providing their customer base with wireless access, publishers can utilize their branded application to communicate with their base to promote new services and features.
The private label version comes equipped with a standard set of features and customers will be able to choose from a menu of custom upgrades to the application. They will be able to choose, for example, to place their content before any other. "Our design philosophy," commented Jay Steele, CTO, "is to tailor this application to meet the specific needs of our customers. Organizations can use their imagination and leave the technical engineering of the application to our team of developers," he added.
The private label offering of Newsclip for BlackBerry is available immediately. Virtual Reach is already working with a number of interested organizations looking to provide their customers with wireless access to their respective services. In coming months, Newsclip Private Label Edition will evolve with the family of Virtual Reach applications adding enhanced features and functionality.
