Axis Includes Viigo Application on BlackBerry Smartphones

(www.viigo.com), developer of the popular mobile content and services platform for smartphones, announced today that AXIS (a trademark of PT Natrindo Telepon Seluler), the rapidly growing national GSM and 3G cellular service provider in Indonesia, will feature a co-branded version of the award winning Viigo application across AXIS’ entire offering of BlackBerry® smartphones.
The Viigo application for BlackBerry smartphones has been available for download from the AXIS WAP portal but is now easily accessible from the smartphone’s home screen.
“We have seen very strong demand for the Viigo application through our WAP portal since it was first introduced in August this year. As a result, we have taken the necessary steps to make it as easy as possible for all our customers to access the popular world class application,” said Johan Buse, Chief Marketing Officer AXIS.
By offering Viigo, AXIS is giving its BlackBerry smartphone customers easy access to a rich application that provides customizable news feeds, weather reports, sports information, financial coverage, the facility to make purchases, participate in social networks, read books, track flights and more. With Viigo, information is periodically updated and automatically delivered to the user’s handset.
